Workshops
Amy McGinnis Behavioral Consulting presents workshops designed to provide parents and professionals with research based trainings to be more effective in their work with children with special needs.
Workshops are designed to give participants skills that they can ‘take home’ and use to improve the quality of the services they provide.

- Challenges with visual performance, including the application of joint control theory
- How to evoke novel intraverbals and correct rote-responding

A Behavior Analytic Approach to Occupational Therapy
This two-day workshop is designed specifically for occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants. Participants will learn how to establish instructional control, prevent problem behavior from occurring, and manage problem behavior when it does occur. Participants will also receive hands-on training in how to teach a variety of visual perception, imitation, dressing, feeding, social, and communication skills. In addition, participants will learn how to read and evaluate within-subject designs and work collaboratively with behavior analysts to help their clients reach their ultimate outcomes.
