Consultation

Consultative services are designed to assess and provide ABA/VB treatment objectives for families and schools for individual children.

Consultative services are provided in the home or school environment. Assessing and training in the environment that is familiar for the child provides the most accurate picture so that the most appropriate goals are chosen.

Assessment includes review of records and recent assessments, as well as video and direct observation of your child. Appropriate goals will be set for your child and hands-on training will be provided to those who will implement the goals.

Recommendations are based on behavior analytic literature, Skinner’s analysis of verbal behavior, and in some cases, evidence-based practices drawn from the field of occupational therapy. While the consults are designed to address multiple domains, the primary focus of the consultation is the development of communication and social skills.
