Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy (OT) is the therapeutic use of meaningful activities to increase independent function, enhance development, and prevent disability.
Occupational therapists are trained to evaluate functional performance of various areas of occupation, including activities of daily living, rest and sleep, education, work, play, leisure and social participation. If a client is experiencing difficulty in any of these areas, an occupational therapist can provide therapy to address the corresponding deficits in perceptual, motor, emotional regulation, cognitive, communication, or social skills.
The occupational therapy services provided by Amy Stango and her associates are unique in that they are guided by the science of behavior analysis and evidence-based occupational therapy literature. For children who also receive ABA services, an emphasis is placed upon parent training and developing protocols that can be implemented in the context of ABA sessions.
Amy and her occupational therapy associates provide therapeutic services to children in Central Florida and Southeastern Pennsylvania. Services are provided in-home, school, or on-site at ABA centers.
